If there’s one thing I’ve learned about treating hyperpigmentation, it’s that patience and consistency are everything. Dark spots don’t disappear overnight, and constantly adding new products to my routine doesn’t necessarily mean I’ll see results any faster. So lately, I’ve been focusing on keeping my routine simple, staying consistent and giving my products enough time to actually work.
For the past two weeks, I’ve been using the **S’ABLE Labs Core Collection** as part of my hyperpigmentation journey. The three-step system includes the Qasil Cleanser, Black Seed Toner and Baobab Moisturizer and combines African botanicals with modern skincare science to specifically address hyperpigmentation.
My hyperpigmentation is primarily concentrated around my lower cheek area, so that’s where I’ve been paying the most attention as I document my progress.
Two weeks is still early, but I’m already starting to see some changes—and one of the biggest reasons I’ve enjoyed the Core Collection so far is just how easy it has been to use consistently.
What’s in the S’ABLE Labs Core Collection?
The Core Collection is a simple three-step system: cleanse, tone and moisturize. What I appreciate is that each product has a purpose within the routine, but I don't feel like I’m layering product after product onto my face.
Everything absorbs quickly, the application is straightforward, and even the packaging makes the routine feel effortless.
Qasil Cleanser
I start with the Qasil Cleanser, which might be one of my favorite textures of the three products.
It has a thick, creamy consistency with a lightly grainy texture, but it still spreads easily across my face. After rinsing, my skin feels clean and surprisingly plump rather than tight or stripped.
The formula includes ingredients like kaolin clay and oat amino acids. Kaolin clay helps remove excess oil and impurities, while oat amino acids help support hydration.
That balance is important to me. When I'm already trying to address hyperpigmentation, the last thing I want is a cleanser that leaves my skin feeling dry or like I've stripped everything away. With this cleanser, my skin feels cleansed but still comfortable afterward.
Black Seed Toner
Next comes the Black Seed Toner, and this is where I really appreciate how easy S’ABLE Labs has made the routine.
The toner comes out as a light mist that I spray directly onto my face and then massage in with my hands. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave behind a sticky feeling, so I can move right into my moisturizer.
The formula contains vitamin C, vitamin E and ferulic acid. Vitamin C is an ingredient I've wanted to incorporate more consistently because of its benefits for the appearance of hyperpigmentation, but I've never really had a dedicated vitamin C product that I consistently used.
Having it incorporated into my toner makes that much easier.
Instead of pulling out another serum, dispensing it and adding yet another layer to my face, I can spray on the toner, massage it in and move on. I'm still incorporating ingredients I specifically wanted in my hyperpigmentation routine without turning my skincare into a seven- or eight-step process.
The toner is also formulated to help address stagnant melanin and support cellular turnover, which can help improve the appearance of uneven skin tone and texture over time.
Baobab Moisturizer
I finish with the Baobab Moisturizer, and again, it's the little details that make this product so easy to use.
The pump dispenses a controlled, pea-sized amount of moisturizer, so I'm not guessing how much I need or accidentally dispensing too much product. I can distribute it across different areas of my face and massage it in.
The moisturizer itself feels lightweight and absorbs quickly, but it still leaves my skin with a really nice dewy finish. It also doesn't pill, which I appreciate because I don't want products rolling up on my skin as I finish my routine or start layering other products on top.
The formula contains tyrosinase-inhibiting ingredients. Tyrosinase is an enzyme involved in melanin production, so inhibiting its activity is one approach used in skincare products formulated to address the appearance of hyperpigmentation.
And while I'm using this moisturizer as part of a hyperpigmentation-focused system, it still does what I need a moisturizer to do: my skin feels moisturized without the product feeling heavy.
Why I Like the Core Collection
After using the Core Collection for two weeks, I've realized that one of my favorite things about it isn't one particular ingredient. It's how simple S’ABLE Labs has made the entire process.
Even the mechanisms behind the bottles contribute to that.
The toner is spray and go. The moisturizer gives me one controlled pump. The formulas absorb quickly. I'm not standing in front of my mirror trying to figure out which serum comes next or how I'm going to layer five different products.
I cleanse, spray on my toner, moisturize and move on with my day.
That simplicity is especially helpful when it comes to ingredients like vitamin C. I've known about the benefits of incorporating vitamin C into a routine focused on hyperpigmentation, but I've never really had a dedicated vitamin C product that I consistently reached for. Now it's already incorporated into a step I'm doing anyway.
The three products are also designed to work together as a system, so I don't have to think about putting together products from multiple brands and figuring out how they work with one another.
It's a simple, effective routine that I can actually see myself sticking to—and when you're trying to address something like hyperpigmentation, consistency matters.
What I'm Seeing After 14 Days
My hyperpigmentation is mostly concentrated around my lower cheeks, so that's the area I've been watching most closely.
After 14 days, I'd say my skin is looking lighter and more even overall. The hyperpigmentation certainly hasn't disappeared, and I wouldn't expect it to after only two weeks, but I am starting to notice a difference.

When I compare my skin now to when I started, some of the marks along my lower cheek area appear lighter and my overall complexion looks brighter.
I'm also including my Day 1 and Day 14 photos in this article so you can see the difference for yourself.
I think that's especially important when talking about skincare results because I don't want to simply tell you that something is working. I want to document what my skin actually looks like throughout the process.
At this point, I'm looking for progress—not perfection.
And after two weeks, I can see progress.
So, Is S’ABLE Labs Helping My Hyperpigmentation?
So far, I'm encouraged by what I'm seeing.
I like the textures of the products, they absorb quickly, nothing feels unnecessarily heavy or sticky, and the entire routine is incredibly easy to follow. The Qasil Cleanser leaves my skin feeling plump, the Black Seed Toner gives me an easy way to incorporate vitamin C into my routine, and the Baobab Moisturizer leaves my skin with a lightweight, dewy finish.
Most importantly, I'm beginning to see changes in the hyperpigmentation along my lower cheeks.
But 14 days isn't enough time for me to give a final verdict.
Hyperpigmentation takes time, and part of this journey is seeing what happens when I stay consistent instead of expecting an overnight transformation. So I'm going to keep using the Core Collection and documenting how my skin changes along the way.
Two weeks down. Next up: the 30-day skin check.
